Michael Jackson passed away (R.I.P.). It is so sad, but we still can count with others megastars, like Madonna (a subject for another post).
Known as a genious of the dancce, this tragical reminded me there is not a genious female dancer, (as we know Madonna is a better performer then dancer) I decided to point my wonder other person.
Sofia Boutella, this name is not so commum and the great part of the people never heard about her. But this 27 young lady, Algerian moved to French with her family when she was 10. Started to dance classical by 5 but at 10 she was doing rythimyc gimnastic. Hip hop and street dance during the French age and joined to a hip hop group calles Vangabond Crew, winner of the World Championship Hip Hop battle in 2006. At the same time, she had been rehearsing since the age of 17 with Blanca Li, a choreographer known for working with Daft Punk. She has danced in several film and TV appearances, as well as commercials.
Her real breakthrough arrived in 2006, when she was picked for the Jamie King choreography for Nike, as a role model of femininity and Hip hop. This was a major boost in her career, and led to more work alongside stars like Madonna, Jamiroquai and Rihanna. See the Nike campain
