Semana passada assisti um filme que tem uma trilha sonora interessante. Nela estava And So It Goes do Billy Joe, cantada por Jennifer Warnes.
Billy Joe é cantor, compositor e pianista, seu primeiro sucesso foi em 1973. Decidiu ser músico depois que viu os Beatles e juntou sua banda. É considerado o sexto artista que mais vendeu nos Estados Unidos, vencedor de 6 grammys e com 23 indicações. And so it goes foi escrita em 1983, mas lançada no álbum Storm Front de 1989. A música é um dos seus grandes sucessos e vários outros artistas a regravaram como The King singers, Nick Lowe, Renato Russo e outros. Na última terça-feira (26) foi ao ar o seriado norte-americano GLEE intitulado "Born This Way", e uma perfomance que me emocionou foi a de Somewhere Only We Know (video da música do episódio aqui) da banda KEANE. A canção nos leva a um lugar lúdico, imaginário, "sonhável".
